Math Portfolio Sample

Descrtion: Everyday after moving tea we have maths. In maths we have been learning strategy. I am stage six. In stage six we have to find the most effective and fastest strategy. The strategys we have been looking at are; Place Vaule Partitioning, Reversibility, Rounding and Compensating and equal additions.

Big idea: For this sample we had to use effective strategys to help us solve these problems. The strategy I used the most would be Place Value Partition. For the first question I used pvp and equal additions. For the second I us rounding and compensating. Third I did trail and error and then I used pvp and lastly I used trail and error and reversibility.

Feedback: I really like how you explained what strategys you used and how you have added lots of detail to your description.
Feedfoward: Next time you could explain how you use the strategys and what one is the fastest.
Fletcher

Evaluation:I really like how I explained the strategys. I think that I am really good at pvp and equal addition. Normal I use pvp but depending on the numbers I could use a diffrent strage. Next time I could work on improving my reversibility to help me get quicker.

Writing Portfolio Sample

Description:  A couple of weeks back we looked at writing. We got a sheet and we wrote down what was in out writing. Then looked at what had the least tally marks and chose our writing teacher. My goal is complex sentences.

We used this video as our motivation.

Big Idea: The red is a complex sentences. A complex sentence is a simple sentence with more detail that can't stand on its own. Eg Jett is a handsome boy. It is a complex sentence because is a handsome boy can't stand on it's own.
Feedback: I liked how you showed time passing in your writing.
Feedfoward: Next time you could add more to your description.
Finis

Evaluation: Ireally like how I manged to add a couple of complex sentences to my story because I didn't think I could add some. Next time I could add some more detail to my charters.

Reading Portfolio Sample

Descirption: My goal in reading is to expand my vocabulary. Every week we book into two workshops.
Here is the success criteria to show some skills we have been using:

1. Reread: Read the two or three sentences before the word, see if it give any information.
2.List of words: sometimes other words in a list can give you clues about the word.
3.Cause And Effect: Sometimes the sentence can help you make a logical explanation.
4.Base Or Root Word: Somtimes the words your are stuck on can have a word that you know, then you could use that word to predict what is means.
5.Read On: read the two or three sentences to see if it gives any information.

Big idea: For our task we had to chose a task from our tic tac toe. I chose the one where you had to think of as many words as you can starting with tri. Tri is a prefix whic means it is the Frist two-three letter of the word.

Feedback: You did good on you poster and I like it with all the diffrent word on the poster and I like how you explained your succes criteria.

Feedfoward: Next time you could expian a bit more on your descrtion.
Marshall

Evaluation: I think I can do all the thing to help you really well and I really like how fast they can help you  understand the word. Next time I reckon that I need to work on getting to understand more words to help me even further.

Science Portfolio Sample

Description: Every Thursday we have science. Frist we had three tasters. We looked at food webs with Troy, then we looked at the digestive system with Suzan and lastly we looked at animal apadaptions with Ebony. After all of that we chose a first and second choice. I got my first choice wich was food chains. A couple of weeks a go we looked at our lunch box and what was inside them. Also how they were made.

Big idea: The learning and what we did was we looked at our lunch box and how they were made. For just a chocolate cookie it take a looooooooooot of time and resources. Also we learned that if we removed the sun (Or anything form the web) we would have no food as everything relies on the Sun and water, (Also it would be very dark so you can't even see the food, plus every body would die of cold.) Also here is a important message EVERY THING DOES NOT COME FROM THE SUPERMARKET😱.
(There's biscuits in the red container.)

Feedback: I can understand your poster really well and I can see what you are talking about that EVERYTHING DOES NOT COME FROM THE SUPERMARKET!

Feedfoward: Next time you can make your poster words bigger, because I can't really read it.
#Tane

Evaluation:I think that I explained my big idea really well and my description. I should work on making my pictures bigger (In the poster) and the words bigger to help the veiwer.
