Today I our math group we learned about pyramids and prisms. We made some out of sticks and clay here they are.

Reflection of my week.

1 What are my highlights for this week?

My highlights are getting 100 out of 100 in basic facts and also learning where to put my apostrophes and doing athletics.

2 What is something that I learnt?

I learnt my place value and where to put my apostrophes.

3 What is something I didn't do well?

I didn't do well in my writing because I didn't have much speech.

4 What is my goal for next week?

My goal would be to add more speech marks in my writing.

Character Description

We are learning how to write a character description using similes.

Dad

He has black, short, shiny, hair. He is medium hight. His eyes are grey like a grey rain cloud. He always wear red or blue clothes and likes them to hang of his body. His arms are as big as a elephants trunk. His skin is slightly tan. Sometime he is mad like if he is at war. His skin is wrinkled like a maze. He wears brown or black shoes. His nose is pointy like a end of a flax.

His voice is so loud it could wake up a person. He is quite clumsy and messy. Sometime his voice is loud and serious but must of the time his voice is soft and friendly. He is very lazy and he likes to sit on the couch. He always make me laugh.

My dad works on a fish and chip shop n Masterton and he retired because he said it was too far away. He is always kind and friendly to other people. On  Wednesday he goes out with his mates.

He has a red motorbike and he loves play soccer so he bought green soccer ball. He plays soccer with me at Sundays mornings. He loves sport.

Room 5 Dance

Twitter Bird Art

We are learning about Kidsedchatnz and how the different twitter symbols work.

In art we have been making our Calendar art. First we had to brainstorm some words about kidsedchatnz. Then went on pages. Then we added text boxes with the words. After that Stephen gave a twitter bird to colour. Then after we coloured it in Stephen told us to stick in the middle of our poster. After we did that he said " You need some symbols on your poster ." Then after we stuck on our symbols Stephen said that we are done and you need to help other people. Book Character day

Today was Book Character day. We had to drees up as a Book Character. We did this to celebrate the relaunch of the hub. I dressed up as Harry potter. Also there was a gust reader. Here is some photos.

In class we have been learning how to make bar charts. Here is one that I made.

Production Writing

It was 6pm in the night. It was the real production. I arrived at the regent at 5:45 pm.When I got inside the back of the regent I sprinted up the cranky staircase to the changing room. When O got inside the changing room Stephen asked " Did you bring a tie." I replied " Yes." I saw Liam. He was drawing a picture on a peace of paper. We had to wait for hours inside the changing rooms. It seemed like it was 12pm in the middle of the night.our dance was in the middle show. I was waiting people    playing Minecaft.

 Then the Kapa Haka People came in and we got forced outside in the hallway. People got their laptops and iPads outside. When they got changed we sprinted back inside the changing room. Then Nic said to Stephen " Your class is up on stage." Then we started to walk down the cranky stairs. I ran to the other side of the stage and got into my place behind the black silky curtains. I wanted to see how many people there where but I could not see because it was to dark. Then the song started. I was freezing cold. When I got on stage I saw heaps of people. When I got of the stage  I waited . When room 12 finished there song we all had to go back on stage for one more dance. Then the teacher did there dance. Then after we did the last dance we got changed and we went back on stage and we had to find our parents. After I found my parents we went home.
