Multiplication And Division In Reverse

This is a poster that I made about multiplication amd division. 5.6 Diveded by 13=431. Why is it not 430? Well that is because after the zero the is a seven. Which means we have to round the zero up to a one because any number above five you have to rounds up.

Divide By Changing Both Numbers

This is a poster that is about dividing. It teaches you that a really hard looking question can be easy only if you half it. 384 divide by 96 can be as easy as 24 divided by 6! I hope you learn something from this.

Linking idlers between paragraphs and idears.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

Paragraphing

My writing is organised into paragraphs, each with it’s own idea or ‘scene.’

Structure

I have organised and sequenced my ideas into paragraphs for purpose and effect.

TASK: craft a free-choice piece of writing that shows how I am developing my goal

                                                             My Draft

                                                              This Is My Final Peace

Glus was silently waiting for Tom, like a henya hunting it's prey. As Tom sprinted into the  enormous cavern the first thing he noticed was the Snow white walls that were dotted with tall towering pillars supporting the roof's heavy weight. As his eyes were adjusting to the brilliant white, Glus saw Tom and drew back his mouth revealing thousands of pointy, jagged fangs. With numb fingers he fumbled at his leather sheath, pulling out his heavy sword. Glus immediately gave chase.

Immediately Tom sprinted for a tall, towering pillar.  Slowly climbing up the pillar Tom began to crawl on the beams using his hands and legs being careful not to fall off. Glus came after Tom in a hot pursuit. The slithering serpent was gaining on Tom. Legend says that the diamond was amongst the shimmering  jewels that filled the golden crown Glus was wearing. Taking a peak behind him Tom saw that Glus was not wearing the crown so where was it? Desperately Tom crawled for his life. Tom stopped dead , there in the middle the golden encrusted crown like it was waiting for him, with the diamond in the very centre."So Glus had not worn his crown after all" thought Tom.
Tom stood up took a daring leap and lunged for the crown.

The moment of hesitation had gave Glus an enormous advantage over him. Glus's body was all over the beams now. As Tom snatched the crown a fang came down and crushed the centre platform. Dust and chunks of marble and stone rained down like thundering rain. "A second later and that could of been me" thought Tom grimly. Glus got ready to strike again. Fangs bared Glus slowly began to approach Tom. Tom backed up but his feet only touched thin air. "This is the end" tom thought. Suddenly Bob jumped out of no where and slashed Glus belly. Swaying violently back and forward and roaring in agony Glus gave a mighty final roar and fell to the ground. Dead. Treasure was flying everywhere and so was blood from Glus dead body. Distracted by the blood soaked Treasure Tom began to wonder. Splattered with blood Tom asked Bob how he had managed strike Glus. It turns out that Bob had followed Tom and hid on a pillar.

The moment Tom had prised the diamond from the golden crown with his dagger he set of to silence war for ever. Tom took some of the blood soaked Treasure and set of with the diamond in his hand. With his strength he crafted heavy duty iron armour. Washed his garments and got ready to set off. Walking on battle fields he always felt anxious but touching the diamond he always felt clam. Every hut he went into he felt that he would be there for a very long time as you would not just say ok when someone ask's you to stop war and make peace. Convinced, the generals made peace. Soon war stopped. Tom was made king and Bob was made prince and together they ruled the world. The diamond was fitted back in the crown amongst all the other jewels and from that day on Tom never took it off.

And that's how it began...

SMART Goals

W.A.L.T Set smart goals
S.M.A.R.T. means Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-sensitive.
Specific: Don’t be vague. What exactly do you want?
Measurable: Quantify your goal. How will you know if you’ve achieved it or not?
Attainable: Be honest with yourself about what you can reasonably accomplish at this point in your life, taking into consideration your current responsibilities.
Realistic: It’s got to be doable, real and practical.
Time: Associate a time frame with each goal. When should you complete the goal?

My writing goal is to...use subject specific vocabulary to support the meaing.
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because...so I can support the meaing and give the reader more information.
I will accomplish my goal by...learning more specfic and interesting words in my spelling and then add them to my writing

My reading goal is to... Make connections between what I know about the world
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because...so I can take what I know and then
expand that knowledge.
I will accomplish my goal by... By reading the text and see what I know about it and then ask questions.

My maths goal is to...chose the most appropriate strategy for a given problem
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because...it might be faster for one strategy and slower for another so I need to choose quickly.
I will accomplish my goal by...asking for a problem and then quickly chooses my strategy to work it out.

My personal goal is to..work more efficiently in a chosen group
The reason I have decided to focus on this goal is because...usually I chose my own group that I can work well with so I don't work that well with other peoples chosen groups.
I will accomplish my goal by...trying to be more involved in group activites.

    Heat And Temperature

Did you know that heat and temperature are not the same thing? Scientifically speaking hot and cold is called thermal energy.

The hotter something is the more thermal energy it has and the colder something is the less thermal energy it has. For an example if you go in a hot pool and then go in a cold pool you would feel colder because all the thermal energy in the pool is trying to get to the same temperature.

The Reason we call thing hot and cold is because we compare that thermal energy with our own body temperature.

People use thermometers to measure temperature. When you put a thermometer outside the atoms in the mercury start to slow down and drop so the temperature is lower, outside but when you take it inside the thermal energy in the atoms start to get excited and start to move and jump up and down more so the temperature starts to rise.

The hotter something is the more thermal energy it has so it rises and the colder the thermal energy the lower it goes on the thermometer.

I think that I did a good job and I would give myslef a 8 out of 10 but maybe next time I could expian about the atoms.

Feedback I like how you explained how heat and Temaperture good

Feedfoward you could say that was my first draft and now it is my better one to say there is not two stories

Writing

This is my finished peace of writing.
Caving
There was a dim glow in the gaping black hole that was waiting to sallow me up. Glow worms swarmed the walls like an army. I knew that If I was too loud they would tun of there light. I dragged my feet across the damp ground. The cave was as black as the night sky.

Russell then the perent that was in charge of caving suddenly wispered " Turn of your lights and listen." I heard a sound up on the roof. What is it? I thought. I stared up at the roof and saw 5 cave wetās looking down at me. As I passed them I came arcoss a small lake and saw the water  bubbling and swrling. Is that a fish I wondered. There in the water was a fresh water crayfish. It seemed to stare at me for a second but when I pointed my torch at it slithered away behind a rock. My foot splashed in the ice cold water of a puddle.

I squeezed pass narrow corridor of stone. I shined my light to the left and saw a low ledge then we squeezed pass another corridor of stone. Then everyone in front of me stopped Russell said that we had to crawl in the ledge of stone. Everyone started to crawl thought lf we were in an army. Every 30 seconds or so I would have to go lower. The water soaked my knees and my shoe was bursting with water. When we got out I was as wet as the ocean. We had a cookie and then Russell asked" Who wants to do that agian not the crawling bit." I raised my hand. We went back inside and and explored the dirty damp dusty cave. I found lots more cave weāts. Lots of them. Finally we got out of the cave and I felt the suns rays shine like plasma beams on my back warming it.
